THREE IS THE MAGIC NUMBER AS LUXURY EVENT AND CATERING SPECIALISTS, PAYAL OPENS ITS THIRD OFFICE IN BIRMINGHAM CITY CENTER.

Payal, a luxury events and gourmet food business, which has over 25 years of expertise in the prestige events industry, is delighted to announce the opening of its third office and tasting kitchen in Birmingham city centre.

Director Raj Somaiya said, “Our excellence in delivering lavish receptions, big-budget Asian weddings and once-in-a-lifetime celebrations at venues all across the country is unrivalled. We were also the wedding caterers for two-times world champion boxer, Amir Khan and the focus of the recent documentary for Channel 4, ‘My Big Fast Asian Wedding’ which will be repeated next week*.

“Customers are always delighted with the gourmet fusion food we offer and now that demand has soared since the TV show, we needed to ensure we could look after the Midlands, and there was no doubt in our minds that the best place was Birmingham.”

The opening of the Birmingham site was a year in the planning. The timescale was dictated by the search for the best venue, which could incorporate a tasting kitchen for both established customers, and new clients to visit and discuss their requirements.

Payal, which currently has offices in London and Manchester, started from humbling beginnings by Raj’s mother, Tarla Somaiya. The company recently celebrated its 25 year milestone with a star-studded spectacular at the National History Museum in London. Payal is also up for the ‘Caterer Of The Year’ award at the Asian Wedding Experience Awards which will take place in Manchester next week on 14th March 2016.

The Birmingham team is looking forward to re-establishing its relationships with the plethora of high-end venues across the Midlands.

LUXURY CATERING BUSINESS, PAYAL, CELEBRATE LANDING An HAT-TRICK OF AWARDS CEREMONY

The hat-trick of honours for Payal comes hot off the heels of two more landmarks in the firm’s history. This month they opened a third office in Birmingham to cater for Midlands’ clients and they also held a birthday bash for hundreds of VIPs inside London’s Natural History Museum, to mark a successful 25 years of trading.

The Asian Wedding Experience Awards yielded a trio of accolades for gourmet catering business, Payal Events. The team celebrated winning, Caterer of the Year, Planner of the Year and also the Judges Award for Outstanding Contribution for Tarla Somaiya, who established the company 25 years ago.

Tarla handed the luxury events business down to her son Raj and his wife Sheetal, and the firm is the focus of a recent Channel 4 documentary ‘My Big Fat Asian Wedding’. Payal Director Raj Somaiya said, ‘We’re thrilled to have won all of these awards, and particularly to see my mother being publicly recognised for her entrepreneurship and drive for having established the business in first place. For me, it’s very humbling to be awarded for ensuring the business continues to grow and innovate’

The Asian Wedding Experience Awards took place at the Renaissance Manchester City Centre Hotel. Every year it recognises the work of Britain’s best and most trusted suppliers, with a gala dinner which attracts the who’s who of the UKs Asian Wedding Industry.

PAYAL’S RAJ SOMAIYA MEETS LADY C IN THE CASTLE

Payal’s Silverfox Raj Somaiya will be see on our TV screens this month on the ITV show Lady C and The Castle

Raj joins I’m a Celebrity contestant Lady Corin Campbell, otherwise known as Lady C, in her Castle to help design and refurbish what seems to resemble a jungle inside.

Lady C bought Castle Goring for £700,000, which seems rather cheap for a castle, but it was desperately in need of £2million worth of repairs. Lady C went on the I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here series to fund renovations pairs and has now used it to renovate her new home as a prestigious wedding venue.

Raj Somaiya has aided Lady C with his incredible eye, impeccable taste and events experience to recreate the interior of her castle.

Raj Somaiya: “Lady C is an incredible lady and such a character and I very much enjoyed working with her on what will be a great venue.”

The series follows the socialite, as she moves into Castle Goring with her two sons, Misha and Dima. The castle has over six bedrooms, a few reception rooms, a card room and only one bathroom. The show follows the nightmare and joy of Lady C’s renovation, culminating with a castle-warming ball as a finale where Lady C invites all her former camp mates – you can catch all the action on ITV this summer.
