What is Gujarati Cuisine?

A primarily vegetarian cuisine and derived from the state of Gujarat in the west of India, our Gujarati Catering offers something that is sweet, salty and spicy at the same time.

British Indian cookbook writer Madhur Jaffrey described Gujarati cuisine as “the haute cuisine of vegetarianism”, and this distinction and superiority, is enjoyed in the variety of dishes we offer.

Our Gujarati Menu

Batata Wada (a kind of potato dumpling), is a celebrated Gujarati snack made famous by street sellers in Mumbai. Refining the original recipe, whilst retaining its authenticity, this dish has been elevated to a sumptuous gourmet dish.

These delightful deep fried patties of mashed potatoes, finely cut green chilies, mustard seeds and turmeric are served with our homemade coconut chutney.

Deliciously rich and exotic in flavour, Gujarati cuisine features an array of Mithai (sweets). Our Shrikhand, a thick yogurt-based sweet dessert garnished with groundnuts, cardamom, and saffron is expertly made by our skilled team of chefs. Its sweet, soothing texture is delicious in the summer, but is also perfect as a finale for one of our majestic banquets.
